An Evening with Shatrughan Sinha in Udaipur
April 12, 2017: I was in Udaipur to mainly attend an event, An Evening with Shatrughan Sinha, organized by Prabha Khaitan Foundation at
Hotel Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resorts & Spa in association with our partner Cultural Rendezvous. With Shatrughan Sinha as the guest speaker, it was as expected a very lively session which the guests enjoyed immensely.
I also took time to meet Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Udaipur’s titular King and the 76th custodian of Mewar dynasty.
This dynasty is considered to be the oldest living dynasty in the world. Mewar ji is a keen sports person and an aviator. He is also the managing
trustee of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF).
Shri Mewar ji did India proud by winning the Lucius Beebe Trophy with this timeless beauty at the 62nd Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, USA, in 2012. He became the first Indian to do so. He was also the man who brought Gandhiji’s iconic glasses back to Udaipur from UK.
On Friday (April 14) I attended a tea party hosted by Shraddha Muradia at the Leela Hotels, Udaipur, along with a group of leading
women entrepreneurs from Rajasthan. There was a private dinner get-together hosted for me on 11th and 13 th evening as well. Before I boarded the flight for Kolkata, I had a meeting with Lakshraj Singh regarding our future collaboration for activities in Udaipur.
