Events ahead
April 9, 2012: Today morning I went to the Frankfinn Air Hostess Institute near Dover Lane for a guest appearance in Gautam Ghosh’s upcoming movie. Lot of desk work has piled up in my office due to the series of events that I have taken up.
These back to back events, scheduled over the next few weeks, would be in Kolkata and Jaipur.
A felicitation event over cocktails and dinner would be organized by my foundation –Prabha Khaitan Foundation– in association with Club Verde Vista on Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Club Verde Vistato felicitate Soumitra Chatterjee and other award winners.
On April 21, 2012, the Desert Storm series of events would be flagged of. Sudhir Tailang, the famous Indian Cartoonist, would be the first guest of that event organized by Rajasthan National Forum, of which I am the President, and ITC Rajputana, Jaipur.
I am also hosting on behalf of Prabha Khaitan Foundation, in collaboration with Siyahi, a literary consultancy in Jaipur, a chit chat session on the most talked film of the country Kahaani in Jaipur with director Sujoy Ghosh and executive producer, Arindam Sil, over evening tea at the ITC Rajputana on April 22, 2012.
Then, on April 24, 2012, a reception dinner would be hosted by H M Bangur, Co-Chairman of Rajasthan National Forum and Managing Director of Shree Cement Limited at Hotel Mariott, Jaipur, in honour of the recent Rajasthan Ratna awardees – Padma Shri Lakshmi Kumari Chundawat, Padma Shri Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Padma Shri Vijaydan Detha and this year’s Padmashree recipients Devendra Jhajrija, Limba Ram, Mohan Lal Kumhar, Sakar Khan Manganiar and Shri Swapan Guha.
All these proposed events demands a lot of time. I, however, could not say no to Gautam Ghosh’s daughter Anandi as not only is she working with me in The Bengal but is also a friend.
